Man Arrested After Standoff With Police in Riverview, New Brunswick
The Codiac Regional RCMP have arrested a Riverview man following an overnight standoff with police.
The RCMP says that at approximately 1:45 a.m. Tuesday, police received a complaint that there was a man with gun threatening to harm himself and possibly others. The man was alone at his residence on Manchester Crescent, not far from the Riverview High School.
After about 4 1/2 hours, the RCMP Emergency Response Team took a 33-year-old man into custody. Police say no one was injured in Tuesday's standoff.
The man is expected to appear in Moncton Provincial Court later in the day.
