Here is a listing of storm cancellations and closings for northern Maine and Western New Brunswick. Check back for frequent updates.
Schools:
MSAD #1 (Presque Isle area schools) - closing at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.
MSAD #45 (Washburn) - releasing students at 11:30 today. There will be no afternoon Pre-K
MSAD 20 (Fort Fairfield) - Dismissing students at 11:30.
Caswell School - Early dismissal at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday
MSAD 29 (Houlton area schools) -Early dismissal at 11:30 a.m.
School Union 122 (Woodland) - dismissing at 11:45 a.m.
RSU 39 (Caribou, Limestone, Stockholm - letting students out at 12:00 p.m.
MSAD 24 (Van Buren) - closing at noon
Easton schools will be dismissed at 12 noon
Ashland schools will be closing at 12 and all after school activities are canceled.
SAD 70 (Hodgdon) - getting out at noon.
Madawaska School Department - Closing at 1:00 p.m.
MSAD 27 (Fort Kent schools) - Closing at 1:00 p.m.
Anglophone West District (N.B.) schools are closed today.
RSU 50 closed today
Region 2 School of Applied Technology (Houlton) - early dismissal at 11:30
MSAD #1 Adult and Community Education - afternoon and evening classes cancelled
NMCC -dismissing at noon (including Husson and Wellness Center)
Houlton Higher Education Center - Closing at 12:30 p.m.
UMPI - closing at 1 p.m. All offices are closed.
Due to weather UMFK will close at 3 pm today. Nowland Hall will remain open for dinner, but the Sports Center will be closed.
Other Closures and cancellations:
Autism Intervention Services is cancelling its services this afternoon in Woodstock and Perth-Andover.
All Aroostook County Govt. Administrative offices - closing at 2 p.m.
The Classical Piano Concert by Duncan Cumming has been postponed to Wednesday (Nov. 28) at 7 p.m. at the UMPI Campus Center.
