The meeting will include a breakfast followed by a brief business meeting to install new members to the Board of Directors. Attendees will also enjoy a performance by this year’s Northern Star, 13-year-old violinist Hope Chernesky. The cost to attend is $15 per person.

Awards will be presented to the top ten campaigns as well as to the Volunteer of the Year, Agency of the Year, Business of the Year, and the Community Partner Award.

The United Way will also announce the agencies who have been accepted for funding. The agencies receiving the funds support health and human service programs throughout Aroostook County to the benefit of its neediest citizens. The total amount of the award to be given to agencies will be over $200,000.

In addition to those funds, United Way also supports 211 Maine, Dress A Child Program, Santa’s Sleigh Project, Summer Gap Feeding, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, fuel assistance, and other non-United Way agency designations for a total contribution of over $400,000.
