On August 2 the Presque Isle Police Department received a complaint of extensive vandalism at the building that formerly housed the Crow’s Nest Restaurant at 150 Maysville Road. Police said in a press release Monday the total cost of the damage was estimated to be over $217,000.

The five juveniles, ranging in age from 13 to 16 years old, have been charged with Aggravated Criminal Mischief and Burglary, both class C felony crimes.

The 12,000 square foot building, which is across the road from the Aroostook Centre Mall, has been largely vacant since the Crow’s Nest closed in November 2013, citing high fuel costs.
