Storm Closings & Delays for Tuesday, January 23

A messy winter storm will make travel difficult across northern Maine and western New Brunswick today and tonight.  Here is a list of the latest storm closings.

Caribou City Hall - closing at 1 p.m.

Meals on wheels in Van Buren - cancelled

The town office for Mapleton, Castle Hill & Chapman will be closing at 11 a.m.

Van Buren Town Office & Library are closed for the rest of the day.

UMPI is closing at noon today. All classes are canceled and offices closed

NMCC, Husson College, & Wellness Center all closing at noon today

MSAD 1 Adult Education - all afternoon and evening classes are cancelled

Schools:

MSAD #1 - dismissing students early at 11:00 a.m.

Easton Schools - letting out at 11:00 a.m.

MSAD #24 (Van Buren) - Early dismissal at 11:15 a.m.

MSAD #42 (Central Aroostook)- Early dismissal at 11:15 a.m.

MSAD #20 (Fort Fairfield) - dismissing students at 11:30 a.m.

Ashland school closing at 11:30 a.m

MSAD #27 (Fort Kent) - getting out at 11:30 a.m.

MSAD #45 (Washburn) - dismissing students early at 11:30 a.m.

Caswell School - students will be getting out at 11:30 today

RSU #33 (Frenchville, St. Agatha)- Early dismissal at 11:30 a.m.

Madawaska Schools - dismissing students early at 11:30 a.m.

Woodland Consolidated School - letting students out at 11:45

RSU 39 (Caribou, Limestone)  Getting out at noon

RSU 29 - Houlton area schools are closed

MSAD 70  - Hodgdon area schools are closed

RSU 50 - Southern Aroostook/Katahdin schools are closed

Greater Houlton Christian Academy is closed

Region 2 School of Applied Technology in Houlton is closed

Millinocket Schools are closed

Houlton Higher Education is closed.

Anglophone West District (NB) - All Schools will be closed today due to the poor weather and road conditions.

CCNB in Edmundston & Grand Falls are closed

NBCC Woodstock classes has cancelled classes for today.  The building, however, will remain open.

Adult Multiple Alternative Center (Caribou) is closed

All Aroostook County Courts are closed today (Jan. 23)

Calais at Houlton Boys Basketball Game - postponed

Fort Fairfield High School at Hodgdon Basketball - postponed

Tonight's Advance Directives public help session at Northern Maine Medical Center  has been rescheduled for January 30  from 5:30 -7pm

Autism Intervention Services in Fredericton and Woodstock areas will be closed for the day- Tuesday, January 23rd due to the weather.

The WorkSafe NB office in Grand Falls will be closed until 11:00 a.m.

The Woodstock Duty Free Shop and the Atlantic Travel Centre will be closed for the day due to the weather and poor driving conditions.

Mic Mac service unit and environmental lab early closure at 3:30 Tuesday
