Presque Isle Historical Society Announces Photo Contest

Presque Isle Historical Society is celebrating its 50^th Anniversary this year, and is sponsoring an amateur photo contest with a local history theme.   The contest is open to everyone. Photos are to showcase an historical element or item in and around Presque Isle.

All entries in the contest will be on display at Wintergreen Arts Center in Presque Isle during the month of September.   Winners will be announced at Wintergreen during the First Friday Art Walk on Friday, September 6 at 6:30 p.m.   Cash prizes will be awarded for 1^st place ($50), 2^nd place ($35), and 3^rd place ($15).

The winning photos may be used for the promotion of the Presque Isle Historical Society, posted on their website or displayed on a rotating basis at locations around the area.
