
Man Charged with Aggravated Drug Trafficking in Maine
A 26-year-old man was arrested Monday and charged with Aggravated Drug Trafficking after a two month investigation in Oakland, Maine.
Drug Trafficking Arrest
Brandon Seegars from Bronx, NY was charged with 2 counts of Aggravated Drug Trafficking after drugs were seized during a search warrant.
Search Warrant Executed
MDEA Agents and the Oakland Police Department executed the search warrant with K-9 teams at 65 Lakeview Drive.
Suspect Jumped Out Window to Escape
Seegars “jumped out of a window in an attempt to escape,” said The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency. He was quickly apprehended and taken into custody.
Drugs and Money Seized
Police seized 650 grams of Cocaine HCL, 13.2 grams Cocaine Base, 20.9 grams of Fentanyl and $3674.00 in suspected drug proceeds.
Federal Probation
“Seegars is also on Federal Probation out of New Jersey for a Hobbs Act Crime of armed bank robbery,” said the MDEA.
More Arrests Expected
Seegars was taken to the Kennebec County Jail. Officials said more arrests are expected as the investigation is ongoing.
