A 31-year-old man was arrested Monday after a police chase and crash in Durham.

Multiple Charges following Police Pursuit

The Brunswick Police Department said Stone Perry from Winthrop was charged with eluding an officer, operating after suspension, aggravated criminal mischief, passing a roadblock, driving to endanger, failing to register a motor vehicle, possession of fentanyl, criminal speed, and refusing to submit.

Fled in Truck after Theft

The police pursuit started after officers were “tipped off around 1 p.m. on Monday about a truck taking off after a theft” in Brunswick.

Chase Through Several Towns

Police tried to pull Perry over multiple times. He fled and the chase went through Freeport, back to Brunswick and then to Durham.

Stuck in Mud

Perry then “went off the road and got stuck in the mud,” said Brunswick PD.

Apprehended and Taken to Jail

He was taken into custody and transported to the Cumberland County Jail.
