Vehicle Fire on I-95 Near Medway [PHOTOS]

The Medway Fire Department, State Police and Maine Forest Service responded to a car fire Sunday evening on Interstate 95 just below Medway.

Social media posts indicated that the  vehicle was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived. The Medway Fire Department said the blaze was difficult to extinguish due to the car's fuel tank being full.

Southbound traffic was diverted before mile marker 239. State troopers assisted with traffic control. East Millinocket Fire Department provided assistance in filling up the tanker at their station.

No one was injured. No word yet on what caused the fire.
