Two Arrested and Charged with Drug Trafficking in Maine
A 34-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman were arrested and charged with drug trafficking and possession in Fairfield.
Search Warrant Executed
The Fairfield Police Department said Aubrey Danforth Jr. and Melissa Witham were taken into custody after a search warrant was executed at a residence on Six Rod Road Saturday.
Drug Trafficking and Possession
Both were charged with Aggravated Drug Trafficking and Possession following a lengthy investigation.

More Charges
Danforth was also charged with possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. Witham was additionally charged with violation of conditions of release.

Ongoing Criminal Investigation
Both were taken to the Somerset County Jail. The investigation is active and ongoing.
