Three Charged with Drug Trafficking after Investigation in Maine
Three people were arrested and charged with Drug Trafficking following a year-long investigation in Portland.
First Arrest for Drug Trafficking
MDEA agents arrested 34-year-old Dashawn Allen from Roxbury, Massachusetts and charged him with Aggravated Drug Trafficking, Unlawful Drug Trafficking and Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person.
Second Arrest
Also taken into custody was 21-year-old Jaden Grant from Somerville, Massachusetts and charged with Aggravated Drug Trafficking, Unlawful Drug Trafficking and Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person.
Third Arrest
The third arrest was 71-year-old Michael Ray from Portland, Maine who was charged with Aggravated Drug Trafficking and Unlawful Drug Trafficking.
Undercover Purchases and Warrant
Undercover purchases were made as part of the investigation and a search warrant was executed on Thursday, September 16 at 23 Hanover Street.
Drugs, Guns and Money Seized
Police seized 622ggw of Fentanyl, 175ggw of cocaine base (crack), 45ggw of Cocaine HCL, 145ggw of Methamphetamine, two loaded handguns and over $5600 in suspected drug proceeds.
Over $100,000 Street Value
The estimated street value of the drugs is over $100,000.
