Three People Arrested on Multiple Drug Charges in Maine

Three people were arrested Tuesday afternoon on multiple drug charges after an investigation in Rockland.

Drug Use at Subsidized Housing

The Rockland Police Department received complaints about suspected drug activity at a local subsidized housing for the elderly and handicapped.

Individuals Well Known to Law Enforcement

“During the investigation, officers made contact with several individuals, all well known to law enforcement, including those on probation, bail conditions and one with an active arrest warrant,” according to Rockland PD.

Fentanyl and Meth Seized

Officers seized over 50 grams of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine.

Man Charged with Felony Drug Possession

Three people were taken into custody including 43-year-old Mark Gagne was arrested and charged with Felony Drug Possession (Methamphetamine) and a Probation Violation.

Man Arrested a Few days Earlier for Abuse of a Corpse

“Gagne was released on probation just days prior with underlying charges including Drug Trafficking and Abuse of a Corpse,” said Rockland Police.

Second Person Charged with Drug Possession and Warrants

Also arrested was 29-year-old Makayla Batty and charged with several counts of Unlawful Drug Possession, Violation of Conditions of Release and an unrelated arrest warrant for Drug Possession.

Woman Out on Bail

Batty was out on several sets of pre-conviction bail.

Third Person Charged with Felony Aggravated Drug Trafficking

The third person arrested was 30-year-old Tianna Brancella from Warren who was charged with Felony Aggravated Drug Trafficking and Violation of Conditions of Release.

Woman had Prior Felony Drug Charges

Brancella was out on four sets of pre-conviction bail. She had several prior Felony Drugs Charges.

Transported to County Jail with Ongoing Investigation

They were all taken to the Knox County Jail and booked. The investigation is ongoing.
