Saint-Léonard Woman Charged With Trafficking Methamphetamine
A 43-year-old Saint-Léonard woman has been charged with drug trafficking after police executed search warrants at a home on two separate occasions last month.
On March 16, West District RCMP seized more than 2,000 pills believed to be methamphetamine from a residence in Saint-Léonard, according to Cpl. Jean-Pierre Bouchard.
Officers executed a second search warrant at the same residence two weeks later. This time additional pills believed to be methamphetamine were seized along with contraband tobacco and cash, Bouchard said.
On Tuesday, Chantal Côté was charged with possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking. She has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in Edmundston Provincial Court on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. for a bail hearing.
