Northern Maine to Get Hit With Midweek Snowstorm [UPDATED]
A quick-moving storm moving into northern Maine late Wednesday afternoon is expected to dump up to 9 inches of snow, making for difficult travel conditions.
The National Weather Service Office in Caribou has issued a Winter Storm Warning for most of Aroostook county from around noontime Wednesday until 1 a.m. Thursday.
Estimated snowfall totals in Aroostook County are in the 6 to 9 inch range. Forecasters say heavier snow is likely to fall south and west of Houlton and may mix with rain Wednesday night in Downeast Maine.
