The maple syrup was reported stolen first in the summer from a warehouse northeast of Montreal. S.K. Export was investigated then, because the warehouse is only 93 miles (150 km) away. Back then, the general manager, told the police officers the company has all the proper documentation that they have bought their maple syrup from suppliers.

Today, the owner said the same thing. He even supplied the police with the name, telephone number, and address of his supplier. But is the police buying it? So far, the Quebec’s provincial police is not commenting on the investigation.
