Man and Woman Charged with Aggravated Drug Trafficking in Maine
A 29-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman were arrested and charged with Aggravated Drug Trafficking after crack was seized in Westbrook.

Amanuel A. Sentayehu from Westbrook was charged with Aggravated Drug Trafficking and Aria A. Pomerleau from Bridgton was charged with Aggravated Drug Trafficking, Falsifying Physical Evidence, as well as two outstanding arrest warrants (failure to appear).
Investigators had Information from the Public About Drug Trafficking
Agents from MDEA’s Cumberland District Task Force “had received information from the public stating there was suspected drug trafficking” at a motel on the Portland and Westbrook line.

Two Suspects Pulled Over After Leaving Motel
During the investigation, Sentayehu and Pomerleau were seen getting into a vehicle at the motel. They were pulled over on Larrabee Road.
Suspicious Items in Vehicle in Plain Sight
MDEA agents and the Westbrook Police saw several suspicious items in plain view in the vehicle.

Crack and $20,000 in Drug Money Seized
The vehicle was searched and agents seized 363 grams of suspected Cocaine Base (Crack) and $20,000 in suspected drug proceeds.
Street Value of Crack Sold on the Street
“Cocaine Base (Crack) currently sells for between $80.00-$120.00 per gram on the street,” according to the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency.

Man and Woman Taken to Jail and Cash Bail Set
Both Sentayehu and Pomerleau were arrested. His cash bail was set at $15,000 and her cash bail was $32,000.
