Five Aroostook County Teams in State Soccer Finals

Five out of six Aroostook County High School Soccer teams that competed in the Northern Maine regional finals on Wednesday are heading to the State Championships.

Here are the final scores from the Regionals:

CLASS B  -  Presque Isle boys beat Washington Academy 2-1

Presque Isle girls shut out Winslow 2 -0

CLASS C  -  Fort Kent  Girls topped Penquis 2- 1

Fort Kent Boys put away Orono 2-1

CLASS D - Central Aroostook girls edged Ashland 4-3 in OT

Penobscot Valley defeated Central Aroostook boys 3-2

Class B State Soccer Championships at Hampden Academy:

3:00 PM -- Presque Isle girls vs. Cape Elizabeth

5:30 PM -- Presque Isle boys vs. Freeport

Class C State Soccer Championships at Hampden Academy:

10:00 AM -- Fort Kent girls vs. Maranacook of Readfield

12:00 PM -- Fort Kent boys vs. Waynflete of Portland

Class D State Soccer Championships at Morse High School in Bath:

3:00 PM -- Central Aroostook girls vs. No. 2 North Yarmouth Academy
