Closings & Delays for Wednesday, February 27th

Windy conditions have led to another day of school closings and delays in Aroostook County and western New Brunswick.

MSAD 1 Presque Isle, Mapleton area schools – closed today

RSU 39 Caribou, Limestone, Stockholm – closed today

MSAD 20 Fort Fairfield Schools – closed today

Easton Schools – closed today

Caswell School – closed today

Washburn Schools (SAD 45) – closed today

Woodland Consolidated School – closed today

Schools in Zones 2 & 3  of the Anglophone West School District are closed today due to blowing snow and poor road conditions. This includes Grand Falls, Plaster Rock, Perth-Andover,  Florenceville-Bristol, Bath, Centreville, Hartland and  Woodstock.

MSAD 33 (Frenchville, St. Agatha) – 2 hour delay

SAD 24 (Van Buren) – 2 hour delay, No morning Pre-K

SAD 32 (Ashland schools) – 2 hour delay, No morning Pre-K

RSU 42 (Central Aroostook)      Delayed 2 hours

SAD 29 (Houlton)  – 2 hour delay, No morning Pre-K

Sad 70 (Hodgdon) – 2 hour delay, No morning Pre-K

RSU 50 (Southern Aroostook)– 2 hour delay

RSU 89 (Katahdin schools) – 2 hour delay

Region Two School of Applied Technology in Houlton - 2 hour delay

University of Maine at Presque Isle -  CLOSED TODAY  **UPDATED

Houlton Higher Education Center is CLOSED

NMCC – Closed Wednesday (Including Husson classes and the Wellness Center)

All ACAP Offices in Aroostook County will have a delayed opening at 10:00 a.m. this morning (Wednesday)

The County Federal Credit Union will delay opening until at 10AM

Caribou City Offices  -  Closed Wednesday

City of Presque Isle Municipal Offices  - Delayed 2 hours

Limestone Town Office & Library -  Closed Wednesday

The reception for the Caribou Vikings Basketball team is STILL ON for this evening.  It will be held at the Caribou High School gymnasium starting at 6:30.  Come cheer on the Vikings as they get ready for the state Championship game.

The 'Class B' North Regional Quarterfinal ...the Presque Isle Wildcats vs.John Bapst High School is still on. The puck drops at 6:00 this evening at the Forum in Presque Isle.
