A 22-year-old man was arrested and charged with Aggravated Drug Trafficking and Illegal Firearms Possession in Bangor.

Drug Trafficking Suspect Apprehended

Christopher Reynolds Jr. had an active warrant and was taken into custody Tuesday by the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency.

Ongoing Drug Trafficking Investigation at Local Residence

MDEA’s North Central District Task Force was conducting an ongoing drug trafficking investigation at an apartment at 411 Essex Street.

Pulled Over in Vehicle Leaving Suspected Drug House

The Bangor Police Department saw Reynolds get into a vehicle at the residence and pulled him over.

Arrested on Active Warrant

He was arrested on the outstanding warrant after a traffic stop and his person was searched.

Suspect had Dugs and Gun in Pants

“Officers and agents located a large quantity of suspected narcotics concealed in Reynolds' pants, as well as a .45 caliber handgun inside his backpack,” according to the MDEA.

Drugs, Gun and Money Seized During Search

Law enforcement seized 140 grams gross weight of meth, 50 grams gross weight of suspected fentanyl, a .45 caliber handgun and $1,154 in suspected drug proceeds.

More charges are pending during the ongoing investigation.
