Police say the first break-in happened Wednesday morning between 7:45 and 8:30 at a home on Connell Street, right at the junction with Deakin Drive. The homeowner returned to discover cash and jewelry had been stolen.

Later in the day Wednesday, Woodstock Police say someone broke into another home on Connell Street near the White Street intersection. It’s not clear what was stolen in the second case.

Woodstock Police advise residents to make sure doors and windows are locked and valuables are out of sight before leaving home, even if it's only for a short period of time.

Both break-ins happened in a high-traffic area, and police are asking anyone who may have seen something suspicious to contact the Woodstock Police Force or NB Crime Stoppers.
