An Arizona woman, upset over the re-election of President  Obama, apparently  ran over her husband with the family SUV because he failed to vote in the election. Police in suburban Phoenix arrested 28 year old Holly Solomon on Saturday after a wild chase in a parking lot that left her husband pinned underneath the vehicle.

Witnesses reported the two were in a heated argument and the woman jumped in the Jeep and started driving circles around her husband in the parking lot, yelling at him out the window as he tried to hide behind a light pole. Police said 36 year old Daniel Solomon was struck as he tried to dash to a nearby street.  He remains in critical condition at an Arizona hospital but is expected to survive.

Mr. Solomon told police that his wife got angry over his "lack of voter participation" in last Tuesday's election and believed her family would face hardship as a result of President Obama winning another term.

Mrs. Solomon said she only meant to scare her husband and that she tried to hit the brakes, not the gas.

Police in Gilbert, Arizona say Solomon is 6 months pregnant and there was no indication she was impaired by drugs or alcohol.
