Two men have been arrested in connection with a break-in Thursday night at a Catholic Charities Maine warehouse in Monticello.

The Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office received a call around 10:15 p.m. from an employee of Catholic Charities Maine who spotted two intruders on camera inside the warehouse.

Deputies Ben Boutilier and Ryan Johnston responded along with Maine State Police and the U.S. Border Patrol. Officers located the two suspects inside the warehouse and placed them under arrest.

It was determined that the men had been attempting to steal items from the office and warehouse, according to Sheriff Shawn Gillen. The two men involved in the alleged break-in were identified as 41-year-old Larry Carll of Houlton and 46-year-old Robert Cox of Monticello.

Carll and Cox were booked into the  Aroostook County Jail in Houlton. They are both charged with Burglary and Theft by Unauthorized Taking or Transfer.
