The Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle crash on Main Street in St. Agatha Thursday morning.

Sgt. Matthew Cummings’ investigation determined that 80-year-old Camille Plourde of St. Agatha was entering Main Street from a private residence in his 2004 Ford pickup. Plourde was unable stop prior to entering the roadway and was struck by 25 year-old Dustin Guerrette, who was southbound in a 2010 Ford pickup.

Roads were snow-covered at the time.

No serious injuries were reported and both drivers were wearing their seat belts, according to Chief Deputy Shawn Gillen. Both vehicles sustained major damage to the front ends and had to be towed away.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Maine Forest Service.
