Sunday River will offer 24-hours of skiing and snowboarding for the first annual 24-Hour Charity Challenge on March 16-17. The event benefits The River Fund, an organization that supports youth enrichment initiatives in the greater Sunday River region.

The 24-Hour Charity Challenge begins on Saturday, March 16 at 9am, and will go until March 17 at 9am. Participants can register online as an individual or as a team (up to 12 people.) Each participant is required to pay a $50 registration fee in addition to fundraising $250 prior to the event. Corporate and sponsor teams are also eligible to register for additional perks. Teams will compete to earn points over the course of the event both on and off the slopes, With the top teams being awarded prizes at the end of the event.

Before the Charity Challenge, participants can actively do some fund rasing for their team. Top fundraisers will be awarded additional points. Participants can also submit up to five receipts from local restaurants for additional points. Each receipt must have a minimum charge of $10 and be dated from February 16 to March 15, 2019. Receipts can come from any of the towns The River Fund supports, which are Newry, Bethel, Greenwood, Woodstock, Andover, Gilead, Hanover, and Rumford.
