April 4th Road Closures & Detours, Wind & Visibilty, Outages, Closings
Several roads in Aroostook County are shut down or detoured due to heavy winds & reduced visibility.
The Aroostook Emergency Management Agency in connection with local and state police posted announcements on their Facebook:

Emera Maine crews are addressing a number of outages, the results of high winds and wind gusts across our service area Thursday. The public is reminded to never touch a downed power line or a tree in contact with a downed line.
Motorists are urged to slow down or move over and change lanes, when possible, if approaching utility crews working on roadways.

MSAD #45 is cancelling the after school program for this afternoon.
All after school activities will be canceled including rec activities for Easton schools
McAdam Elementary School and McAdam High School will be dismissing at 2:00p.m. due to weather and road conditions.
The Maine Potato Blossom Festival planning meeting for this evening has been postponed due to weather. A new date will be scheduled.
Due to blowing snow conditions, UMPI evening classes from 5 p.m. on today are cancelled. This includes the Houlton Center.
