RCMP Investigating Mactaquac Area Break-ins
The RCMP is seeking information regarding two cases of break, enter and theft in Mactaquac over the Canada Day long weekend.
Between Friday, June 30 and Monday, July 3, the Keswick RCMP responded to reports of break, enter and theft at the Mactaquac Park golf club store and the Mactaquac Esso Station. Police have reason to believe that the same person committed both offences, according to Cpl. Jean-Francois Martel.
The break and enter into the golf club store happened sometime between 9 p.m. Saturday and 6 a.m. Sunday. A yellow crow bar was used to gain entry into the building, Martel said.
The break and enter into the Esso station on Route 105 occurred between 9 p.m. and midnight on Monday.
The male suspect is described as between 200 and 250 lbs. about 6' tall. RCMP say he was wearing dark clothing and a hoodie to cover his head and face.
Police believe the suspect may have spent time in the area around the two stores prior to breaking in.
Anyone with information about these crimes or who saw anything suspicious is asked to contact the Keswick RCMP at (506) 357-4300.
