
Man Sentenced to 3 Years for Stealing Firearms in Maine
A 22-year-old man was sentenced to 3 years in prison for stealing firearms from a dealer in Waterville, Maine.
Conspiracy to Steal Firearms
Damiean Marcial-Alexander was charged with conspiring to steal firearms from a federally licensed firearms dealer and for stealing those firearms.
Supervised Release and Restitution
He will also have three years of supervised release and pay $17,253.37 in restitution. He pleaded guilty on May 30, 2024.
Broke into Firearms Dealer
Marcial-Alexander and a co-conspirator, 22-year-old Ryan Ansart, broke into the firearms dealer in April 2022 and stole a Glock, Model 17 Gen5 9mm pistol and a Smith & Wesson .38 special revolver.
Multiple Guns and Firearms Stolen
The two men stole a total of 15 firearms, six revolvers and nine semi-automatic pistols, according to court records.
Men Took Photos with Guns
“Evidence collected included Instagram and text messages planning the theft, including a map to the location from Marcial-Alexander’s apartment, as well as photos of the two men holding some of the stolen firearms” said the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Investigators
Investigating the case was the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives with assistance from the Waterville Police Department.
