Once again, gas prices around New England fell a little bit in the past week.

GasBuddy.com reports that prices at the pump in Maine dropped 1.7 cents in the last week to an average $2.53 a gallon. In Presque Isle, as of Tuesday morning, most stations were either at $2.70 or $2.71 a gallon.

In New Hampshire, gas prices dropped 2.3 cents a gallon to an average $2.48 a gallon. Vermont's pump prices 1.9 cents from last week to $2.62 a gallon on average.

Meanwhile, the national average fell 9.9 cents from a month ago to an average $2.55 a gallon. That's 28.7 cents cheaper than a year ago at this time.
