Driver Killed in Collision with Moose in Northeast New Brunswick
The RCMP is investigating a fatal car-moose collision that occurred late Friday night in a rural area just northeast of Bathurst.
A 52-year-old man from Free Grant, N.B. was driving on the Madisco Road in Free Grant shortly before 11 p.m. when his vehicle struck a moose, according to Sgt. Benoit Jolette.
The man passed away as a result of his injuries. Sgt. Jolette said that the preliminary investigation reveals speed and alcohol may have been factors in the collision.
The investigation is continuing.
