Maine State Police arrested a 22-year-old Eagle Lake man Friday evening on multiple charges after he fired a single round from his .40 caliber handgun during an argument in Wallagrass.

Brandon Ketchen had left the scene when Trooper Matt Curtin arrived to investigate the incident around 6 pm Friday at 1792 Aroostook Road in Wallagrass.

Ketchen turned himself into police later, said authorities. Police seized a .40 Caliber Smith and Wesson Handgun as evidence at the time of Ketchen’s arrest.

As a result of the investigation, Trooper Curtin charged Ketchen with Aggravated Reckless Conduct (Class B Felony). Additionally, Ketchen was charged with Violating his previous Conditional Release (Class E Misdemeanor).
