Crime Stoppers Crime Of The Week – Negligent Firearm Use Injures Man
Crime Stoppers and the West District RCMP, Oromocto Detachment, are looking for the person who was negligent in using their firearm, injuring a man at Geary Speedway.
On July 25, 2015, in the afternoon at Geary Speedway, a 39-year old man was hit by a rifle bullet while sleeping in his tent trailer.
The victim lost the use of both hands and sustained injuries to both arms. Because of this, the man cannot work or take care of himself. According to the report, there were people close to the campsite who were shooting their rifle.
N.B. Crime Stoppers stated, "There are people in the community who know who is responsible and we are asking you to come forward and do the right thing by calling Crime Stoppers."
