A 32-year-old Campobello man faces several charges, including cocaine trafficking, following a traffic stop at the North Head ferry terminal in Grand Manan.

West District RCMP pulled a vehicle over at approximately 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, according to Cpl. Brent Allaby of the St. George Detachment. A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered drugs believed to be marijuana and crack cocaine. Police arrested the driver and took him into custody.

Matthew Stanley appeared in Saint John Provincial Court on Wednesday, and was charged with possession of marijuana, possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, obstruction and breach of probation.

Stanley was remanded in custody and is expected to return to court for a bail hearing on Thursday, March 21.
