The body of a 39-year-old man was found Tuesday morning after a welfare check in Fairfield.

Man’s Body Found after Welfare Check

The Fairfield Police Department said Jeremy Turner was found deceased around 8:35 am at a residence on Burrill Street.

Police at the Scene Investigating and Gathering Evidence

Law enforcement including Officer Dubay, Officer Casey Dugas and Detective Shanna Blodgett were at the scene to investigate.

Autopsy to be Done to Determine Cause and Manner of Death

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta was contacted and will do an autopsy to determine the manner and cause of death.

Police Said the Death Does Not Appear to be Suspicious

“Although out of the ordinary, currently nothing about the death appears to be suspicious,” according to Fairfield PD.

Investigation Ongoing and Case Under Review

Officials said the investigation is ongoing and the case remains under review.
