A 19-year-old woman was injured Wednesday after a crash with a dump truck in Fairfield.

Both Vehicles Collided and Left the Road, Went in Ditch and Knocked Down Power Lines

The crash caused both vehicles to go off the road, into a ditch and knock down utility lines.

Police Said Vehicle Failed to Yield to Oncoming Traffic

Police said the teen was driving south on Ridge Road and failed to yield to the dump truck at the intersection with Center Road.

Teen Girl Injured and Transported to the Hospital and Dump Truck Driver Unhurt

The 19-year-old was injured and was taken to the hospital for medical attention. She was later released. The dump truck driver was not injured in the crash.

Crash Under Investigation

The collision happened around 1 pm. The road in the area was closed briefly. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
