15-Year-Old Died After ATV Rollover Crash in Maine

A 15-year-old male died Sunday night after a rollover ATV crash in Fort Fairfield.

Two 15-Year-Olds Were Riding the ATV and Skidded Before Rolling Over

The Maine Warden Service said two 15-year-olds were riding the ATV side-by-side when the driver made a hard left turn and accelerated, causing the front end to lift and skid before rolling over.

Teen Died at the Scene of the ATV Rollover Crash

The 15-year-old passenger was pronounced dead at the scene from his injuries.

Crash Happened in a Field

The crash happened in a field behind 9 Old East Road around 7:45 pm.

Driver Had Serious But Non-Life Threatening Injuries & Was Taken to the Hospital

The driver had non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Cary Medical Center in Caribou for treatment.

Driver and Passenger Were Not Wearing Helmets or Seatbelts

Neither of the teens were wearing helmets or seatbelts at the time.
