A 41-year-old woman died Monday afternoon and a 59-year-old woman was seriously injured after a trike motorcycle and commercial truck collided in Westbrook.

Trike Motorcycle and Commercial Truck Crashed at Intersection

The Westbrook Police Department said the crash happened at the intersection of  Saco Street and Eisenhower Drive around 12:41 pm.

Two Women Seriously Injured and Transported to the Hospital

Both women were seriously injured at the scene and transported to the hospital for medical attention.

Woman Died at the Hospital from Her Injuries

The 41-year-old woman died at the hospital from her injuries. She was from French Polynesia and was visiting family in the area. Names were not released.

Woman Driving Trike Was Seriously Injured

The woman driving the trike was listed in serious condition.

Commercial Truck Driver Was Not Injured

The 37-year-old driver of the commercial truck was not injured, according to the Westbrook Police Department.

First Responders at the Crash Site

Responding to the scene was the Westbrook Police Department and the Maine State Police Commercial Vehicle Unit.
