Wednesday night’s drawing was the first Powerball drawing open to players in the U.K., with the same 1-in-292.2 million jackpot odds as players in the U.S.
The lottery’s record prize was a $2.04 billion jackpot won in California in 2022, far surpassing the record 250 million euro maximum EuroMillions payout awarded in 2025.

U.S. lottery officials said the expanded player base could help Powerball jackpots grow more quickly and attract additional ticket sales.
U.K. tickets will contribute only to the jackpot, while lower-tier prizes and advertised jackpot amounts will differ from those in the U.S. Drawings will remain on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.

And there you have it! As of Wednesday, July 22nd, Powerball drawings are now open to players in the U.K.
