Two people familiar to many people in Aroostook County have been appointed to key leadership posts at the Aroostook County Action Program.

Sherry Locke, of Mapleton, joins ACAP as development and communications manager, while Jamie Chandler, also of Mapleton, will become ACAP’s first-ever chief operating officer.

Locke will join the ACAP Team as the new Development and Communication Manager on September 16. Prior to this, Locke has been serving as the Executive Director for the United Way of Aroostook for the past three years. She previously worked for MMG Insurance and managed a retail operation in the County.

Chandler will officially assume the COO position on September 3.  She will work with Agency team members to finalize the new program leadership structure for ACAP. Chandler has been with ACAP for six years, touching all areas of the Agency, especially in her current role as Service Delivery Coordinator.  Prior to this 2nd stint at ACAP, Jamie worked at TAMC where she served as the manager for the North Street Health Care Center and oversaw a large number of staff and operations of the facility.

ACAP Executive Director and CEO Jason Parent is pleased with the organization's two newest selections. “I am thrilled to have two such capable and energetic community leaders join our Agency’s executive leadership team."
