Canadian and American sports fans may have some fierce rivalries, especially on the NHL ice, but we really are the best of neighbors. The spirit of goodwill came out naturally Tuesday night, when the Toronto Maple Leafs hosted the Nashville Predators.

During the U.S. national anthem, the singer's microphone cut out.  Hardly missing a beat, the crowd of 19,000 (mostly Canadian) fans at Air Canada Centre jumped right in to finish the Star-Spangled Banner themselves.  It was actually quite moving.
