June 9th, 2013 - Tr. Hafford was dispatched to a vehicle operating erratically in Eagle Lake. The caller said the vehicle had pulled through his driveway nearly hitting his child and left the area. While on route to Eagle Lake, Tr. Hafford saw the vehicle in Fort Kent and pulled it over. Tr. Hafford arrested the 26 year old male operator for operating under the influence of alcohol.

June 9th, 2013 – Sgt. Fuller and Tr. Michaud assisted Caribou PD with a track of a 48 year old man who tried to abduct a 17 year old boy. The man was chased down the road for a mile by a crowd of people who witnessed the event. The man threatened the crowd with a knife and Taser. The man also started to throw M80’s and smoke bombs at the crowd to fend them off. Sgt. Fuller and Gleni were able to track the man a short distance into the woods where he was found laying down unresponsive. The man was taken to the hospital where he was cleared. Gleni was able to locate the Taser, keys, department store cards and expended fireworks near the location where the man was arrested. The man was charged with Unlawful Sexual Touching – Class D - Threatening Display of Weapon – Class D - Criminal Threatening – Class D.

June 10th, 2013 - Troopers Casavant and Sylvia responded to the Richardson Rd in Easton for a home invasion in progress. The caller reported someone was actively trying to break into his residence with a crow bar. The homeowner saw up to four suspects and believed they were armed with baseball bats and crow bars and eventually left in purple or maroon car without making entry once they knew the police had been called. The investigation is ongoing.

June 10th, 2013 - Tr. Marquis responded to Dennis Lane in Eagle Lake for a family fight. The 41 year old male was removed from the home and taken to Northern Maine Medical Center for a mental health evaluation. Aroostook SO and Fort Kent PD assisted Tr. Marquis.

June 10th, 2013 – Tr. Hafford and Sgt. Fuller assisted the Fire Marshall’s Office at a fatal fire / suicide in Frenchville.

June 10th, 2013 - Tr. Michaud responded to the Central Aroostook Junior/Senior High School for a seventh grader that was out of control. The juvenile ransacked the Principal’s office and had to be restrained by the Superintendent and the Principal until Tr. Michaud arrived. The juvenile was taken in for a mental health evaluation and was charged with criminal mischief and criminal threatening.

June 12th, 2013 - Tr. Sylvia investigated a suspicious activity complaint on the Bangor Rd in Linneus about Miller Paving out of MA. going door to door trying to get driveway paving jobs. The owner was located and provided a Maine permit to pave driveways. One homeowner paid $7000 to have his driveway paved and then stopped payment on the check because he was dissatisfied with the work. The company is possibly trying to scam homeowners in the Southern Aroostook area with poor quality paving jobs.

June 13th, 2013 - Tr. Saucier investigated several camp burglaries on Route 212 in Merrill. Copper wiring and tubing was mainly taken from the camps and Tr. Saucier is working with the town office to contact additional camp owners. Tr. Corey Hafford processed evidence at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.

June 14th, 2013 - Tr. Monahan responded to an anonymous report of a possible sexual assault in Wytopitlock between a 14 yr old and a 22 yr old. After talking to the couple and family members, investigation revealed there was no inappropriate relationship between the two.

June 15th, 2013 - Tr. Lilley and Sgt. Harris responded to a report of a vehicle crash in Hersey. Investigation revealed the operator left the scene prior to the Trooper’s arrival. Sgt. Fuller was called to the scene with his K9 Gleni who tracked to a residence approximately 4 miles away but it appeared the operator had been picked up in a car. Later that day, the operator turned himself in to Tr. Lilley and he was summonsed for OAS and leaving the scene of a PI accident.
