
Storm Closings and Cancellations for Wednesday, January 9
A storm expected to dump a significant amount of snow across northern Maine and New Brunswick has led to the closure of several schools in the area.
MSAD #1 (Presque Isle area schools) will be letting students out at 11:30 a.m. and there will be no after school activities
Caswell School is closing at 11:30 a.m.
SAD 20 (Fort Fairfield schools) got out at 11:30 a.m.
The Woodland School will be closing at 11:45 today due to inclement weather.
RSU 39 (Caribou, Limestone and Stockholm schools) will be closing at noon.
Easton schools are closing at noon.
SAD 32 (Ashland Schools) dismissing students at noon.
SAD 33 (Frenchville, St. Agatha) letting out at noon.
MSAD #45 will be releasing students at 11:30 today. There is no afternoon pre-K.
SAD32 Ashland district schools will close at noon today all after school activities are canceled
SAD 24 Van Buren schools are letting out at noon.
MSAD 42 (Central Aroostook schools) dismissing at noon.
SAD 27 Fort Kent closing at noon today with no after school activities
Madawaska schools are dismissed early at noon today with no after school activities
UMFK - Closing early at noon.
UMPI and the Houlton Higher Education Center will close at 1 p.m. today. All offices will be closed.
Other closings/cancellations
Aroostook Agency on Aging is closing early at 2 p.m.
Mars Hill Recreation Dept. - All afternoon and evening activities are cancelled
Caribou VFW has cancelled Bingo for this evening.
Theology in the County has been canceled tonight due to weather.
The Presque Isle vs. Caribou boys basketball games scheduled for today at PIHS have been postponed. The games will be made up Thursday, January 10. Game times remain 5:30PM -- JV and 7:00PM Varsity.
NMCC will be closing at 3:00 pm, no evening classes and the wellness center will also be closed
