Police say a total of 22 firearms, mostly hunting rifles, have been reported stolen. Ten of these firearms were stolen from one residence, where they were safely stored. RCMP say the thief (or thieves) also took electronics, jewellery, liquor and food from some of the homes.

The Codiac Regional RCMP says to reduce the likelihood that your home will be targeted by thieves, have a relative or friend check on your home while you’re away. They suggest making arrangements to have snow cleared and flyers picked up, so the home will not appear unoccupied.

If you have any information about these break-ins and thefts, please call police at 506-857-2400. Information can also be provided anonymously through New Brunswick Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477)
