Presque Isle Youth Wins Soccer Shoot Championship

Earlier this month, Sidney Tawfall got herself a championship trophy in her age division in the Maine Elks Association’s Soccer Shoot penalty kicking contest.

Tawfall is the 12-year old daughter of Liz and Eric Tawfall. The Soccer Shoot was hosted by the Waterville Elks Lodge.

To compete in the state championship, Sidney won in her age division at the Soccer Shoot hosted by the Presque Isle Elks, Lodge #1954, back in September, at the University of Maine at Presque Isle campus. Tawfall also won first place at the Maine North District Soccer Shoot held in Ellsworth, also in September.

Sidney is now eligible to compete in the Region I Elks Soccer Shoot penalty kicking contest, to be held in North Kingston, Rhode Island, from November 1 through 3.
