A 30-year-old man was arrested Tuesday night and charged with threatening his family with a knife in South Berwick.

Robert Hundley fled into the nearby woods after making the threats to his family.

The South Berwick Police Department said Hundley fled to a hunting cabin in the woods.
Criminal Threatening Reported to Police
The incident happened at 20 Warren Pond Road around 10:30 pm.
Officers Tried to Speak to Suspect and Man Refused to Comply
Officers attempted to communicate with Hundley and told him to come out of the woods and speak to them. He refused and did not comply.

Maine Special Response Team Responded to the Scene
The Southern Maine Special Response Team was called to assist.
Police Searched Several Hours for Man in Woods and Made Arrest
Police searched for Hundley in the woods, and located him several hours later. He was apprehended and taken into custody.

Taken to the County Jail and Booked on Multiple Charges
He was transported to the York County Jail and charged with criminal threatening and violating conditions of release.
