
Two People Trapped in Vehicles after Head-On Crash in Maine
Two people were trapped inside their vehicles Tuesday after a head-on collision in South Berwick.
Drivers Trapped and Extricated from Their Vehicles
Both divers were injured and extricated from their vehicles. Crews used rescue tools to free the drivers.
Two People Injured and Transported to the Hospital
The South Berwick Fire Department said they were taken to a local hospital for medical attention.
Head-On Crash Happened in the Afternoon
The crash happened around 12:50 pm on Route 236 near Old Mill Road.
Road Closed for Clean Up and Later Reopened to Traffic
The road was closed to traffic as debris was cleared. The road reopened later in the day.
Several Agencies Were on the Scene of the Crash
Multiple departments responded to the call including the South Berwick Fire Department, the South Berwick Police Department, Dover Fire & Rescue and York Ambulance.
