A 45-year-old man was arrested and charged with Arson after a fire destroyed a mobile home in Readfield.

Fire was Started in the Early Morning

Shawn Sirios was taken into custody Sunday for the early morning fire on July 14 at 625 Plans Road.

Mobile Home was Unoccupied with No Injuries

The mobile home was not occupied at the time. No injuries were reported, according to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.

Suspect was Living in a Vehicle When Arrested

Sirios was arrested at the Readfield boat landing. He had been living in a vehicle when police located him.

Taken to County Jail with Cash Bail Set at $20,000

He was transported to the Kennebec County Jail and booked. His cash bail was set at $20,000.

Charged with Two Counts of Arson

Sirios was charged with two counts of Arson, said Shannon Moss, Public Information Officer, Maine Department of Public Safety.

The investigation is ongoing.
