Two teens were charged with Felony Arson for trying to light a neighbor’s house on fire in Rockland.

Juvenile Suspects Identified

The Rockland Police Department said a homeowner identified the two juvenile suspects and they were both detained and charged.

Targeted Arson

The incident on Friday night “was targeted and not believed to be random,” said RPD.

Older Teen Detained

The older teen was known to police and has prior law enforcement involvement. He was taken to the Long Creek Youth Development Center.

Younger Teen Summoned

The younger juvenile cooperated with authorities and was issued a summons. He was released to mental health providers.
