The Aroostook Agency on Aging announced Monday that Katahdin Trust Company has pledged to support the new Aroostook Aging & Disabilty Resource Center in Presque Isle through a donation of $20,000.

The Aroostook Agency on Aging recently relocated its main office, which includes the Aging & Disabilty Resource Center, to its new location at 260 Main Street in Presque Isle. The new location provides County residents with improved access to services.

At the new Main Street location, the Aging & Disabilty Resource Center will have dedicated space for individual consultations as well as group support and education. The center will also provide Agency staff and volunteers with enough space for in-person training and connections for virtual conferencing to help overcome the challenges of distance.

Katahdin Trust's donation supports the new center's lobby resource area, which includes print and virtual tools, to help older residents and their caregivers live their best lives possible.
