With platinum albums under his belt and a spot in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Ice Cube can now add another feat to his long list of accolades: a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

On Monday, the hip-hop legend cemented his place in fame when he received his Hollywood Walk of Fame star, putting him alongside such stars as Michael Jackson, Diana Ross and Pharrell Williams.

During a ceremony that featured Dr. Dre, DJ Yella and MC Ren, the “Good Cop Bad Cop” rapper said he was “honored” to be there.

“It’s a great day. I wanna thank everybody in the city of Los Angeles, the city of Hollywood,” he siad. “Everybody that had to do with me getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. I really appreciate it.”

Ice Cube also acknowledged the people who helped him become the star he is today including his longtime tour DJ, the late DJ Crazy Toones.

“You know, you don’t get here by yourself,” said Cube. “And when you’re coming up doing music, movies, just trying to be creative, you never figure you’ll be on the Hollywood Walk of Fame one day. Today is not really about Ice Cube. It’s about all the people who helped me get here.”
