Walkers, joggers, cyclists, strollers, and almost anything that moves are invited to the “High on Life!” 420 5K  hosted by Community Voices in Fort Kent on May 3.

Registration will begin at Community High School, 84 Pleasant Street, Fort Kent at 9 a.m., with a kids’ fun run at 9:30 a.m. All participants in the informal and fun event for children will receive a medal.

After the kids’ fun run, children will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of kid-oriented activities led by Heather Smith, advisor for Youth Voices in SAD 27, while family members participate in the 5k.

The 5k run, which is open to all ages as well, will begin at 10 a.m. with prizes for first place finishers in ten categories with ages ranging from under 20 to 60 and above. Organizers will provide run time and finish time at the finish line only.

All participants in the 5k will receive a t-shirt for participating and a grab-bag filled with goodies. Online pre-registration is available and organizers encourage all to use this easy service at communityv.com.
